We spent a few days over Spring Break (March 2009) in Corpus. We visited with Grand Gail and Grandpa Billy and played some games of lawn bowling.

Grand Gail gives it a try.

Ethan sets up the course.

And then decides to make it more difficult!

The dogs relaxed on the patio and watched the game.

Grandpa Billy gives it a try.

We also went to visit William's cousin Matt in Beeville at Huie Farms. This is Matt and Shambryn on their farm.

Ethan with his 2nd cousins - I think ... or great cousins?

We got to ride on Matt's tractor which goes on autopilot - pretty cool!

The dogs took off and decided to try to herd the cows!

Uh - Oh, we are outta here!

Run Biscuit run!!!!Hot dogs after a long session of cow herding!

We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Ed at their new place!

With Jerome...

Everyone with their Cars 4 Cash Hats...

Where we purchased our SAAB .....

And last but not least ... no trip to Corpus would be complete without going to the beach!

Ethan participated in his first trail race in Bandera, TX on January 9, 2009. The race was a mile long. Ethan was the second place male finisher, and the third kid to finish over all. Way to go Ethan - it was a tough course! Ethan ran his mile in 9 mins and 28 seconds!! Here dad helps Ethan pin on his race number.

And they are off!

Ethan passes another kid.

With his trophy!

Telling dad all about the race.

With dad and mom - mom is in the middle of her race at the 26 mile point in this picture!

Skiing 2008/2009 - We went to Breckenridge, Colorado with Grandpa Billy, Grandma Gail , Aunt Claire, and her friend Rene the day after Christmas through New Years 2009. Ethan started the trip with a day long ski school session. He was a real champ and learned quickly. The day after ski school we took Ethan out for the full day and by the end of the day he was skiing blues. The next day, he was skiing black diamonds and moguls!! Kids do learn fast. Here is a video clip of Ethan and William just coming off of a black diamond run (Ore Bucket) on to an easier blue run.

It was really snowing hard the day we arrived. Here we walk through town in the snow.

Snowy creek - The front of our beautiful lodge - Crystal Peak Lodge.

Grandma Gail and Aunt Claire ...

Getting help with gloves from dad.

Aunt Claire on top of Peak 8

Ethan loves moguls, and he is much better at them than I am. I like to think that is because he has a lower center of gravity!

Me and Ethan stop for a picture.

Dad helps Ethan in some deep snow.

Getting gear back on to hit the slopes after a hot chocolate break at the base of Peak 8.

William and Ethan ride the lift back up the mountain.

With dad and grandma Gail after his first day of lessons!

With grandpa Billy ready for another day on the slopes!

Swimming in the outdoor hot tub after a long day on the slopes.

Our bathroom had a jacuzzi tub - which Ethan used every day after skiing (when he was not in the hot tub outside).

An evening game of pool with dad at the Lodge.

Christmas 2008: We had Christmas at our house in Cedar Park, TX this year. William's parents and my parents were there along with Aunt Claire and her friend Rene. We made Christmas Eve dinner for everyone and then everyone returned the next day to open presents. I know I have more pictures than this somewhere, but for some reason I cannot seem to locate them... Here is a close up shot of our tree!

Here we are in front of the tree.

Grandma, Ethan, and his best buddy Zane getting ready to deliver cookies to the neighbors.

Grandpa Ed catches some shut eye.

Ethan hugs Grandma Gail -

And Grandpa Billy -

I know this is posted late, but it is a video that Ethan's Teacher Ms. Kilanko made of Ethan and his friends on his last day of School in London at Ashmount Primary School - Year 2.

I have been trying to upload this for a really long time, and I finally got it to work! Check it out.
