Ethan participated in his first trail race in Bandera, TX on January 9, 2009. The race was a mile long. Ethan was the second place male finisher, and the third kid to finish over all. Way to go Ethan - it was a tough course! Ethan ran his mile in 9 mins and 28 seconds!! Here dad helps Ethan pin on his race number.

Skiing 2008/2009 - We went to Breckenridge, Colorado with Grandpa Billy, Grandma Gail , Aunt Claire, and her friend Rene the day after Christmas through New Years 2009. Ethan started the trip with a day long ski school session. He was a real champ and learned quickly. The day after ski school we took Ethan out for the full day and by the end of the day he was skiing blues. The next day, he was skiing black diamonds and moguls!! Kids do learn fast. Here is a video clip of Ethan and William just coming off of a black diamond run (Ore Bucket) on to an easier blue run.

Ethan loves moguls, and he is much better at them than I am. I like to think that is because he has a lower center of gravity!

Christmas 2008: We had Christmas at our house in Cedar Park, TX this year. William's parents and my parents were there along with Aunt Claire and her friend Rene. We made Christmas Eve dinner for everyone and then everyone returned the next day to open presents. I know I have more pictures than this somewhere, but for some reason I cannot seem to locate them... Here is a close up shot of our tree!
